Corrections and right of reply

By Kai Greenspan, Founding Editor · Last updated: 2 July 2026

This policy is pending legal review before public launch.

Debt Collection Index corrects errors quickly and visibly. Any person or agency can challenge any published fact, every challenge is reviewed by a person against the original public source, and any agency named on this site has a right of reply. Corrections are made to the page itself, not buried in a log.

How do I report an error?

Contact the editor with the page address, the fact you believe is wrong, and, if you have it, the evidence. A dedicated corrections contact address is being finalised and will be published on this page before public launch. Every published fact on this site shows its public source and last-checked date, so a challenge can be checked against the same record it came from.

What happens to a correction request?

A person re-checks the challenged fact against the original public source. If the fact is wrong, it is corrected on the page and the last-checked date updates. If the source itself has changed since we checked it, the newer record wins. If the fact is right, we reply explaining the source. While a fact is under review it can be temporarily withdrawn rather than left in doubt.

How does an agency claim its profile?

An agency can claim its profile to verify its licence details, correct facts through this policy, and add service information. Claiming is free. Paid options (clearly-labelled featured placement or buyer leads) exist separately and never change where an agency ranks; see the methodology.

What this site will not do

We do not remove verified, accurately-sourced public-record facts because they are unwelcome. We do not publish "worst of" lists or unverified allegations in the first place, which keeps most disputes short: if it is on the site, a person checked it against a public record, and that record is linked.
