Debt Collection Index is an independent, free directory of US debt collection agencies, built from public records. Rankings reflect positive, verified measures with a disclosed methodology and constitute opinion based on that method, not a recommendation, endorsement or guarantee of any agency. Using the site means accepting the terms below.

What this site is

Rankings follow the disclosed methodology exactly. They are assessments built from public records, refreshed on the dates shown, and never influenced by payment.

Not legal or financial advice

Nothing on this site is legal, financial or professional advice. Engaging a collection agency is a commercial decision with legal consequences; take independent advice where the stakes warrant it, and verify time-sensitive facts against the linked primary sources, which remain the authoritative record.

Not a consumer report

This site is not a consumer reporting agency, and nothing on it is a consumer report as defined by the US Fair Credit Reporting Act. Profiles describe companies and their public business records: licensing and bond filings, certifications and complaint statistics. They contain no information about private individuals and must not be used to determine any individual's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing or any other purpose regulated by that Act.

Accuracy and corrections

Every published fact carries a public source and a last-checked date, and facts can change after we check them. Errors are handled under the corrections policy, including a right of reply for any agency named on the site.

Paid relationships

Buyers never pay. Agencies may pay for clearly-labelled featured placement or buyer leads; paid placement never affects merit rankings. Rankings are never for sale.

Use of the content

You may quote and cite this site with attribution and a link. You may not republish the directory wholesale, misrepresent rankings, or present paid placement as a merit result.

No warranties

This site and everything on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Public records can change after we check them, and while every published fact carries its source and last-checked date, we do not warrant that any page is complete, current or error-free at the moment you read it. The linked primary sources remain the authoritative record.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Debt Collection Index and its operators are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, this site, including decisions to engage or not engage any agency listed here. Your remedy for dissatisfaction with the site is to stop using it; your remedy for a factual error is the corrections policy, which we honour quickly and visibly.
