Common questions about industry specialties
What counts as a declared specialty?
A specialty is recorded only when an agency’s own website presents one to three industries as its identity, in its own words. We quote the exact sentence, link to the page it appears on, and date when we read it. An agency listing many industries is recorded as serving them, which is a different, weaker claim, and is shown separately on each industry page. We verify the Texas bond, not the claim.
Why is an agency missing from an industry page?
An agency appears under an industry only when its own website declares it and we have read and dated that page. Some agency websites cannot be read from our location and some declare no industries; those agencies keep their full profiles and rankings but are absent here until a declaration is evidenced. If we have missed yours, use the corrections process and we will re-check.
Do specialists rank higher than other agencies?
No. A declared specialty never affects an agency’s band or position anywhere on this site. Agencies are grouped by years continuously bonded on the Texas register and listed alphabetically within each band, and rankings are never for sale. The specialty pages exist so a buyer with one kind of debt can find the agencies whose own identity matches it.
